Safe Zone at Student Health Services

All full-time staff at the Student Health & Wellness Center participate in Safe Zone training and are certified Safe Zone Allies.

Safe Zone training is the University of South Florida's institutionally recognized Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender/Trans+, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ+) diversity training program that educates members of our campus community on advocacy for LGBTQ+ peers by promoting understanding through educating supportive allies. The training is a three-hour interactive certification on LGBTQ+ identities, inclusive language, and advocacy and is offered by the Office of Multicultural Affairs. The vision of the Safe Zone Ally Training program is to foster an atmosphere of support and celebration of LGBTQ+ individuals within the University of South Florida community.
