Cost of Attendance
International Student Cost of Attendance
Did you know that USF offers one of the lowest tuition rates in the United States? It’s true! We have been nationally recognized for our affordability and value by many outside organizations, including Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and U.S. News & World Report.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees are based on a number of factors, including undergraduate or graduate status, residency and the type of housing chosen. Our costs are often competitive with the rates at your local university.
USF Scholarships
- First-Year/Freshman Students: You will automatically qualify for admissions-based scholarships when you apply to USF.
- Transfer Students: You can qualify for our International Transfer Student Scholarship if you apply by the deadline.
- Graduate Students: You can check out assistantships offered through USF that reduce the cost of attendance.
Financial Aid
Most international students will not qualify for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) funding, but there are common exceptions that you may qualify for.
If you qualify for one of these exceptions to complete the FAFSA:
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) allows you to be automatically considered for federal, state and university financial aid programs. Don't delay! To be considered for the most types of aid possible, submit your FAFSA by USF’s priority deadline.
Your financial aid award offer will list the estimated cost of attendance for one academic year at USF. Your letter will also outline the total amount of aid you will receive during the academic year, including scholarships, grants, loans and work-study.
Use our Cost Calculator along with your financial aid award offer to get an accurate estimate of your costs to attend USF.
