Urban Food Sovereignty Summit aims to heighten awareness of food sustainability in Tampa Bay
The USF College of Arts and Sciences’ Urban Food Sovereignty Group is set to host the 5th annual Tampa Bay Urban Food Sovereignty Summit on Oct. 12 and Oct. 15. The focus of this year’s event is “Food Sovereignty in the Food System.”

A unique learning experience allowed History students the chance to examine more than a dozen artifacts ranging from Tuskegee Airmen nurse uniform pins to a "Don't Kiss Me" necklace worn by babies during the Tuberculosis outbreak of the early 1900s.
