BIOGRAPHY
Danielle L. Johnson (M.A. Coastal Carolina University) is a doctoral student at the University of South Florida studying health communication. As a researcher, her interests center around illness and end-of-life (EOL) care as they intersect with media. Her previous research has looked at end-of-life care in American soap operas, death in Disney-Pixar films, and various pieces of media in Southern funeral rituals. At present, Danielle’s research is focused on how Korean popular music (K-pop) artists, fandoms, and companies use social media to discuss COVID-19.
