Bio
Diogo Baerlocher is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of South Florida, having earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019. His research focuses on economic growth, public economics, and demographic economics, with publications in journals such as Economic Theory and Public Choice. Notably, his work includes studies on public employment's impact on economic growth and the dynamics of co-partisan politics in Brazil. Dr. Baerlocher teaches courses in macroeconomics and economic growth at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
