Internship Description
Communications and Marketing Intern: The intern will work with the OCEP’s Associate Director to develop written and audiovisual story content about USF university–community engagement for the OCEP’s newsletter and website. Depending on the intern’s skill level, tasks may include note-taking, writing story narratives, taking digital photographs, designing attractive layout of content, recording live interviews and activities on video, and video editing and production. Specific projects may include preparing story content for our office’s newsletter and website and creating videos about community engagement for our YouTube Channel.
Skills & Abilities:
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical, editing, and written communication skills,
with the ability to produce high-quality written materials. • Strong computer skills,
including use of desktop publishing software and audiovisual production technology
and software, with the ability to produce high-quality audiovisual materials.
• Experience developing multi-media marketing and communications.
• Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Understanding issues of diversity and multiculturalism among different groups in
university and/or community settings.
• Occasionally conduct site visits.
• Have a flexible schedule.
