Dr. Karen Kaufmann, in collaboration with her peers, has co-authored an article, Measuring outcomes: Information literacy instructions assessment in a cross-institutional study, focused on assessing the influence of information literacy in higher education. This article delves into the outcomes of a comprehensive cross-institutional study, drawing upon resources from the ACRL Project Outcome Toolkit. The study yields essential insights into the significance of library instruction sessions for students attending both research and state colleges.
Dr. Kaufmann joined the USF iSchool in August 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Instruction with a focus on information literacy, user relevance, user information experience, and the intersection of theory and practice in information science. Dr. Kaufmann brings over twelve years of academic librarianship and teaching experience to inform her research interests. Her research interests include information literacy, user relevance, user information experience, and the role of the academic library in supporting transfer students.
