BIO

Madeline Martin-Seaver joined USF in 2022. She works in aesthetics and feminist philosophy. She mainly works in body aesthetics, especially the relationship between how we experience our own embodiment and how a body is perceived. Additionally, she is interested in the aesthetics of the bodily senses: smell, touch, and taste. Her other philosophical interests include philosophy and literature, ancient Greek philosophy, and Asian philosophy. Her PhD is from Oklahoma. Previously, she worked at Auburn University and Elon University.
