Bio
Donald E. Mullins is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Politics and International Affairs at the University of South Florida's School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies. His primary research focus is on American Government, with a specialized emphasis on Public Policy.
With over two decades of experience in various levels of government, Donald has provided consultancy services to the Republic of Palau, numerous U.S. federal agencies, and a multitude of state and local governments. His professional expertise encompasses political campaign operations, healthcare regulatory policy, academic medicine, and government relations.
Donald is an active member of the Association of American Medical Colleges' Group on Government Relations, where he serves on the steering committee and 2024 chairman. Additionally, he is a member of the American Political Science Association, participating in sections focused on State Policy and Politics, Health Politics and Policy, and Qualitative and Multi-method Research. He is also a member of the American Society for Public Administration.
Currently, Donald holds the position of Assistant Vice-President for Health Affairs and Government Relations, as well as Deputy Chief of Staff for USF Health. He is also an Assistant Professor of Public Health Practice in the USF College of Public Health, an Adjunct Professor of American Government in the USF School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies, and a Resident Adjunct for Health Care Policy in the U.S. at the USF School of Public Affairs.
A native of the Tampa Bay community in Florida, Donald is an enthusiastic outdoorsman and a turophile. He has been married to his wife, Vickie, since 2002, and they have two daughters, Reagan and Avery.
