Bio
Dr. Lahey joined the Africana Studies department in 2013. Currently, she is working on a manuscript about the civil rights movement in Camden, New Jersey. Her research explores how an unlikely alliance of militant African Americans, Puerto Ricans, and white Christians cooperated in their quest for social justice during the late-1960s and early-1970s.
