BIO
Byron Miller (Ph.D., 2012, The Florida State University) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of South Florida. His research, which has been published in journals including Social Science Research, Sociological Perspectives, Youth and Society, Society and Mental Health, Journal of Youth and Adolescence, and The Journal of Homosexuality, examines a variety of topics related to adolescent development, dating, mental health, and interracial relationships. Dr. Miller uses an epidemiological approach to investigate how psychological and social factors influence health outcomes, and his current research examines interracial romance and mental health outcomes among college-aged adults. He recently completed a book manuscript Interracial Romance and Race Relations: Bridging Generations and Society, which is currently under contract with Lexington Books.
