Annual Conference of the Interdisciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies: “Freedom in Ancient Greek History, Literature, and Philosophy” This event is hosted by the Interdisciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies and the Department of Philosophy, University of South Florida.
This interdisciplinary conference will explore the scope and role of freedom in ancient
Greek society and culture, as well as discussions of related topics in ancient Greek
political, ethical, psychological, and metaphysical theories.

USF and Western Carolina University will host the 25th biennial Southeast Conference
for Languages, Literatures, and Film (SCFLLF). For 40 years, the conference has been
a venue that brings together scholars from a variety of fields in the Humanities.
This year the conference will be taking place in Asheville, North Carolina. Dr. Richard
Langston (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) will present the keynote address.
