Join us for a special event focused on the French business community in Tampa Bay - NOW AT THE USF RESEARCH PARK! USF students are encouraged to attend and to make important connections within USF Network France!

Summary:  

This event will leverage USF’s unique position as a global academic institution to explore the intersections of international education, business, and diplomacy within the Tampa Bay region - in this case with a special focus on ties to France and the French community. USF World will collaborate with the French-American Business Council of Western Florida (FRAMCO) to host this annual event, including a VIP reception on the evening of the new Beaujolais, and a half-day program on the USF Tampa campus the following day. The event will feature respected members of the French community, highlight French faculty and student success, and provide a networking platform for French-owned businesses and organizations through an interactive tabling exposition. The purpose of the event is to:

1. Connect USF alumni, students, faculty and partners who have personal and/or professional ties to France, and to build awareness of the extensive French cultural and business community in the Tampa Bay region
2. Nurture relations in the French business community that will foster global professional development opportunities for USF students
3. Explore the needs and interests of the French business community
4. Highlight opportunities for the university to support and drive global economic growth in this community

The 2024 inaugural event will have a special focus on medical technology, as it is a matter of great interest to the current Consul General of France in Florida.
