Ms. Melinda Zeliff, an instructor of German in our department and teacher at Alonso High School in Tampa, has been honored by the Florida Foreign Language Association (FFLA) as Teacher of the Year 2024. The FFLA will send her to the SCOLT conference in Nashville this March to compete for the larger region Teacher of the Year.

Furthermore, Ms. Zeliff has also been awarded the Teacher of Excellence Award by the German Embassy in Washington, DC, in cooperation with the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). Award winners are recognized at the AATG Awards Presentation in Philadelphia in November 2024, which Ms. Zeliff will attend. We congratulate her on these amazing achievements and are proud she is part of the teaching team in German.
