We invite you to join us for a VIP reception before the program, Book Talk: A Conversation with John Limbert, a former American hostage about his new book, ‘Believers: Love and Death in Tehran: A Novel.”  You will have a chance to meet John Limbert and enjoy good food and drinks. John Limbert and Mohsen Milani will then take the stage to discuss Limbert’s new book, “Believers: Love and Death in Tehran: A Novel.” We look forward to an evening of fellowship and education.

Following the conversation, John Limbert will be available to sign books in the rotunda.  
  
Books will be available for purchase from the USF Bookstore.

ABOUT JOHN LIMBERT

John W. Limbert is a seasoned diplomat and scholar who was held hostage for 444 days in Iran during the early days of the Islamic Revolution in 1979. A former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iran in the U.S. State Department's Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, he holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and has taught at several institutions, including the U.S. Naval Academy. Fluent in Persian, Limbert is also a prolific author, having written several books on Iranian history and politics. His latest book is Believers: Love and Death in Tehran.

ABOUT MOHSEN MILANI

Mohsen Milani is the executive director of the Center for Strategic & Diplomatic Studies. He was a research fellow at Harvard, Oxford and the Foscari University (Italy). He has been interviewed by more than  150 national and international media outlets, reaching out to millions of people across the world. Since 2000, he has been invited to over 200 conferences in 27 countries.
