Budget Revision Requests by Program Officer
How to respond to a Request by the Sponsor's Program Officer for a Revised Budget
At times, a Program Officer will find merit in the proposed project submission but request a revised budget prior to making a funding decision. If a Program Office requests a revised budget, PI's should keep the following in mind:
- Contact your URA right away for assistance in completitng a revised budget.
- Note: all revised budgets or other agency-requested changes must be reviewed and approved by the USF Department of Sponsored Research (DSR) office before they are sent to the sponor/agency.
- Although the Program Officer may have contacted you, as the proposed project's Principal Investigator (PI), it is best to allow the DSR office to forward all requested changes to the sponsor/agency contact.
