Master of Music Graduate Sean Hamilton Releases New Album
Wednesday, August 24, 2016
Composer and Master of Music Graduate Sean Hamilton discusses his new album LOCI, which features improvised music for percussion and electronics. The piece makes use of silence as well as electronics that generate music in real time. On September 2nd, Sean will play a show at the Venture Compound in St. Petersburg with artists Glass Tongue, Trout in Paris, Meindlig, and Gullwing.
Sean recently received favorable reviews from internet music critic Donovan Burton of Positively Underground. Burton says, "Hamilton is clearly a master with the ability to truly express individuality. By both showcasing his ability to fit within the modern drum idiom and the drone genre, Hamilton has put together a unique piece of music with a high level of development and contrast."
