USF Choir Performs in Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience
Monday, April 03, 2017
The USF Choir is directed by Visiting Instructor of Choral Studies Dr. Jason Dungee.
The USF Choir had the chance to perform in two performances of the Game of Thrones
Live Concert Experience touring show.
The Choir was contracted by the HBO-sponsored show, which recently concluded a tour
of 24 cities around the country.
The students joined other musicians in playing music from the hit television series Game of Thrones in the Fort Lauderdale and Tampa performances of the tour. The music is by Grammy and Emmy Award-nominated composer Ramin Djawadi, who has scored other TV shows such as "Person of Interest" and "Westworld," and blockbuster movie titles such as "Clash of the Titans" and "Ironman."
The performances featured live music alongside immersive visuals and elaborate staging. Visit the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience website for a video of the impressive performance space.
Students gained insight into the working life of musicians by performing as members
of the professional music tour.
