Two USF Music Graduate Students Place in the Top Ten at Osaka International Music Competition

USF piano graduate students Ghadeer Abeido and Jingxia Kuang competed at the finals of the Osaka International Music Competition in Osaka, Japan.
Of the 52 international finalists competing, Kuang placed 4th and Abeido tied for places 7 through 10. Kuang also took home the Espoir prize.
In May, Abeido and Kuang won first and second prize at the North American regional round of the Osaka Competition in Atlanta.
Abeido and Kuang study with Svetozar Ivanov, professor of piano and chamber music at the USF School of Music.
