Dan Granke is a freelance director, movement coach, and actor. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. He is also a Certified Teacher with The Society of American Fight Directors, and a Certified Teacher Candidate with the National Michael Chekhov Association. Recent credits include A Soldier's Tale with the Richmond Symphony, The Big Barn Spectacular at the Celebration Barn, and Holy Matter for WUSF (acting), Noises Off for Theatre VCU (movement) and Grania and In the Shadow of the Glen for SALT (director). He has taught in New York, Chicago, and across the Midwest and Southeast, and is currently on faculty at USF, where he teaches acting, mask work, and combat. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in performance from the University of Michigan and his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University.
