Virginia L. Kalil

Executive Director/Chief Internal Auditor

Virginia Kalil, a University of South Florida (USF) alumna, serves as the chief audit executive where she leads the audit department in promoting accountability, integrity, and efficiency in the operations of the university.

Virginia is a certified audit professional with over 29 years of accounting, financial, auditing, and IT experience.  Prior to joining USF, Virginia was responsible for leading risk assessment, control evaluation, corporate governance and regulatory compliance efforts in the transportation industry.  She also held various leadership and individual contributor roles in accounting, finance, audit, and system migrations while working in the defense industry.

Virginia is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), as well as Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
