Marty Gillenwater comes to the USF Muma College of Business from the College of Public Health where he served as an academic advisor for the Health Sciences degree since 2017.  

Prior to USF, Gillenwater served as a program manager in Marshall University’s Lewis College of Business, his alma mater where he earned his MBA and Master of Science in Human Resource Management.  Prior to taking up the advising mantle, he spent time in the corrections industry at South Central Regional Jail in West Virginia as a human resources manager. Before that he spent nearly a decade in the finance industry as a mortgage loan originator.

Gillenwater brings a career-centric approach to his students, working from a place of long-term goals, and how his students can work to achieve them through their chosen major.

In his spare time, he enjoys attending concerts and sporting events.
