Jinah Ryu is an assistant professor of entrepreneurship at the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. Her research focuses on the socio-cognitive and cultural influence in entrepreneurship and organizational adaptation. She studies how distinct expectations emerge within ventures and affect stakeholders’ evaluations, and how firms construct meanings around new management concepts and strategically deploy them over time. In her research, she primarily employs quantitative methods, including Natural Language Processing models (NLP), and also uses multi-methods (i.e., interviews and experiments).

Ryu received her PhD in Business Administration from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
