Alumni Spotlight - John Kremer
Executive MBA ('11)
John Kremer, who recently completed the Executive MBA program ('11), is the assistant director of amateur scouting for the New York Yankees. Despite having juggled, career, family, and school for the past two years, Kremer graduated from the rigorous Executive MBA program with a 4.0 GPA.
Prior to attending USF, Kremer received a bachelor's in mathematics from the University of Evansville in Indiana, where he also played Division I baseball. He was drafted by the Yankees and played five seasons in their minor league system, before transitioning into baseball operations. Kremer says because he never had much experience before making the jump into operations, he decided to pursue an EMBA to enhance his understanding of business practices. Kremer was drawn to the Executive MBA program at USF because of the convenient schedule and the opportunity to learn in a cohort setting from top business executives and experienced professors. He was impressed with the quality of the instructors and a curriculum geared towards the application of business principles.
"The Executive MBA program is a great way for an executive to engage in continuing education while maintaining a busy work schedule. This program is for business leaders looking to gain a holistic understanding of core business functions and develop critical thinking skills necessary to compete in a rugged environment."
