Osvaldo Diaz has a Bachelor of Business Administration and is currently a senior majoring in Finance
at USF. Born and raised in Colombia, he came to USF one yearago as part of a dual
degree program, with the goal of expanding his knowledge and exploring a new career.
In such short timing, he has managed to grow exponentially by taking advantage of
the resources provided by our university, showcasing his leadership and ability to
adapt and stand out in a new environment. Hehad the initiative to obtain the Securities
Industry Essentials (SIE) license before graduating from college, to assert his interest
in working for a broker-dealer in the U.S. Among his experiences, he has been President
of a Student Organization with 75+ members and is currently a Global Investment Research
Analyst at theInvestment Club, and Equity Research Analyst of our Student Managed
Investment Fund.
Benjamin DeAngulo is a Senior Pursuing a degree in finance with a concentration in investment analysis.
After becoming fascinated with capital markets at a young age,Benjamin began his pursuit
of knowledge to better understand how markets function. After actively trading equities,
he became interested in learning more complex instrumentssuch as options and futures.
Entering USF with a strong base allowed Benjamin to excel in his classes and achieve
a USF GPA of 3.78. While at USF, he was involved in severalstudent organizations such
as the Sigma Chi fraternity and the Investment Club. In the Summer of 2023, he was
able to display his skills through an internship at Twendeinvestment firm where he
worked under serval portfolio managers. This experience fueled him to pick up a minor
in economics and study for the SEI exam. Benjamin joined theApplied Security Analysis
program because it will add to his experience and prepare him for future internships
and job opportunities. After graduating, Benjamin will bepursuing a career in sales
and trading.
Mia Ehrich is a senior pursuing concurrent degrees in Finance with a concentration in investment
analysis, and Business Analytics and Information Systems with aminor in Spanish. She
is a Florida Bright Futures Academic Scholar and a student of USF’s Honors College.
Ehrich is currently the president of the Student FinanceAssociation at USF and aims
to increase student engagement and to make the opportunity to learn more about the
field of finance and investing more easily availablefor her peers. On the weekends
she teaches financial literacy skills and practices English with refugees in Tampa
Bay. She is competing in the 2023 CFA EthicsChallenge, studying for the Security Industry
Essentials exam and is pursuing the CFA charter as well.
Tyler Kingsbury was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida and is pursuing a degree in finance with
a concentration in investment analysis. Kingsbury played competitive soccer as a goalkeeper
his entire life learning to eliminate mistakes and mitigate risk. His interest in
finance began when he started investing at the ageof 16. With his book “Tenacity:
My Story” the story of becoming a 2-time cancer survivor, he became a published author
at the age of 21. At USF, he has heldvarious positions in the Student Finance Association
including Director of Recruiting and Treasurer. He is currently preparing to take
the Securities IndustryEssentials (SIE) exam later this year and plans to take the
CFA level 1 exam next year. Kingsbury is pursuing a career in investment analysis
or investment bankingand hopes that the Applied Securities Analysis program will sharpen
his analytical skills and knowledge of equity markets. He graduates in December 2024.
Hannah Mirza is a senior pursuing a degree in Finance with a concentration in Investment Analysis.
Hannah’s keen interest in the business world started after startingher own business
in high school and started trading options when she was 18. While being an active
executive member of the business Fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, inconjunction with the
Student Investment Club and Women and Business, Hannah has completed multiple internships.
Throughout her college experience, she hasworked at Fisher Investments, Citibank,
JP Morgan Chase, and continues her business on the side. Hannah hopes the Student
Managed Investment Fund will givehands-on experience with financial modeling and immerse
her in the technical parts of Finance. Hannah will return to JP Morgan after graduation
where she will workin the Private Bank in Tampa.
Evyenia Mouratoglou is a Senior pursuing a degree in Finance. She was raised in an entrepreneurial environment
within family businesses, which has allowed her togain direct experience in business
operations and management from a young age. This experience has greatly contributed
to her interest in the realm of finance.Evyenia is known for her determination and
strong work ethic. Her professors and peers have endorsed her for her unabated diligence
and admiration forimprovement. She joined the Applied Security Analysis program with
aspirations of not only gaining knowledge about the financial markets and fundamental
analysisbut also enhancing her analytical skills which will aid in her professional
and personal growth. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in Mergers and
Acquisitions.
Linh Nguyen is an international student from Vietnam. She came to the U.S. at the age of 14 on
her own with the aspiration of accessing the renowned educational opportunitiesthe
country has to offer. Her journey to discover her career path started as she took
the initiative to do an internship during the summer of her junior year in high school.
Uponattending USF, she found her passion for finance, prompting her to pursue a concentration
in investment analysis and pick up a double major in Quantitative Economics andEconometrics.
Throughout her tenure at USF, she has received several scholarships from the university
and consistently made the Dean’s List with a 4.00 GPA. This pastsummer, she interned
in the Financial Risk Management line at KPMG in Vietnam, gaining valuable professional
experience. This school year, she is preparing for her SIE exam,benefiting from a
scholarship provided by Franklin Templeton. She also plans to take the CFA Level I
exam and is currently actively seeking a summer internship for 2024.
Joshua Polanco is a senior pursuing a finance degree, on track to graduate in Spring 2024 with a
cumulative GPA of 3.88. His passion for finance began during histeenage years after
an influential encounter with his grandfather's impassioned financial advisor. A distinguished
eleven-year service in the US Army SpecialOperations Forces post-high school was followed
by his relocation to Tampa for enrollment at USF. Joshua's upbringing in a financially
challenged environment is themotivation behind his pursuit to master the intricacies
of wealth creation and preservation. He anticipates that the Applied Securities Analysis
program will bring forththe fundamental skills to thrive in the finance sector, further
fueling his determination for success. He is diligently working towards achieving
the CFA Level 1certification in May and extends his heartfelt gratitude for the prestigious
Bank of Tampa scholarship awarded to him.
Raghav Prakash is a junior pursuing dual degrees in finance with a concentration in investment analysis,
and econometrics & quantitative economics. Aftergraduating from high school while
simultaneously earning an associate’s degree, he joined USF in the fall of 2022 with
60 college credits and placed directly intoupper-level courses. Currently, he is a
portfolio analyst at the USF Student Investment Club. Prakash joined the Applied Securities
Analysis program to enrich hisknowledge of finance and to cultivate the skills necessary
for a successful career. He aspires to work in asset management and plans on taking
Level 1 of the CFAexam in 2024.
Olivia Stimpson is a senior at the University of South Florida, pursuing a dual degree in finance and marketing, specializing in investment analysis and sales. Originallyfrom Melbourne Beach, Florida, she relocated to Tampa to further her education. In the past year, Stimpson served as the president of both the Student FinanceAssociation and the Business Development Club, and currently holds positions on the boards of both organizations. She is presently interning at two investmentbanks, Hyde Park Capital and Independence Point Advisors, during the fall of 2023, having previously obtained the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) examprerequisite over the summer. With plans to attain additional license designations once employed by a firm, Olivia aspires to utilize her Applied Securities Analysisprogram skills to pursue a career in investment banking.
