Career Boot Camp

Given the increased level of competition for jobs being faced by students today, coupled with the turbulent state of affairs in the global economy, there is no better time than the present for job-seekers to strengthen their résumés. The Office of Employer Relations in the USF Muma College of Business hosts the Career Boot Camp for business students.

Come ready to meet a "drill sergeant" (HR professional) as they work out cover letters and get résumés into tip-top shape. HR professionals from USF join recruiters from a myriad of partner corporations and smaller companies to train students in resume crafting, helping out of shape résumés, answer questions, and teach industry-specific feedback for students. Trainees flow through the atrium at a steady pace with a short wait time for training – no more than fifteen minutes each.

Not only is this event fun for the students involved, but the résumé reviewers, many of whom are also USF alumni, admit how good it feels to give back to the university community.
