Dr. Everette Coffman is a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed mental health counselor. He now works as an assistant professor of instruction in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at the University of South Florida. He earned his doctorate degree at the University of Florida in counseling and counselor education. Dr. Coffman is an attachment-based researcher and is published in the area of family systems, attachment science, and addiction.
Additionally, Dr. Coffman is the clinical director of Priority One Coaching, Counseling, and Consulting. This is a private practice that he has owned and operated for 5 years. The practice specializes in relationally bound treatment for couples and families. Additionally, he is a certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFT), trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), & Gottman Couple's Therapy.
