LeGrande Gardner, PhD

With 26 years of service in federal and local law enforcement, LeGrande Gardner brings extensive real-world experience to the MS in Cybercrime program. A former FBI special agent with the Cyber Crimes Unit, he has worked on high-profile cases involving computer forensics, criminal intelligence, and cyber threats. His research focuses on anti-terrorism, homeland security, and digital investigations, ensuring students gain insight into both practical and policy-driven aspects of cybercrime enforcement. Thomas Hyslip, PhD

With vast experience in cybersecurity, law enforcement, and military service, Thomas Hyslip is a leading expert in digital forensics and cybercrime investigations. A retired U.S. Army officer and former FBI Task Force Agent, he has tackled cases involving hacking, cyber fraud, and digital espionage. He also served as a special agent with the U.S. Secret Service, specializing in financial cybercrime and electronic evidence collection. Lauren Miley is a criminologist and cybercrime researcher whose work examines digital crime, offender behavior, and vulnerabilities in the justice system. Her research explores the evolving landscape of digital crime, offender behavior, and online victimization. An active researcher with contributions to scholarly articles bridging criminological theory and real-world investigations, her expertise helps students develop advanced analytical and investigative skills, ensuring they know how to address real-world cybercrime challenges in both public and private sectors.
