Amy Nourie

Amy Nourie is a doctoral candidate in the School of Social Work.

Amy Nourie, a doctoral student in the School of Social Work, has been selected by the Florida Institute for Child Welfare (FICW) for its 2022-2023 Dissertation Fellowship. This fellowship is awarded to PhD students dedicated to research and scholarship that improves the safety, permanency, and well-being outcomes for children and families in Florida's child welfare system.

"Nourie's exploration of the impact of Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) on former foster youth has significant potential for translation to policy and practice, particularly given recent legislative interest in Florida's GAL operations," said School of Social Work Director Riann van Zyl, MSW, PhD.
