Dimitri Brunelle, a PhD student in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), presented his poster, “Age-induced modulation in sound-evoked local field potentials in the inferior colliculus of CBA/CaJ mice,” at Society for Neuroscience (SfN) and Advances and Perspectives in Auditory Neuroscience (APAN) in Washington D.C. SfN is the premier neuroscience conference in the world, with over 25,000 attendees this year, spanning the entire field of neuroscience.
The conference consisted of five days of lectures, symposiums, exhibitions, and poster sessions, in which Brunelle was able to expand his breadth of knowledge on cutting-edge research and techniques being used outside of his domain field in auditory neuroscience. Additionally, his experience at APAN and SfN auditory research sessions allowed him to network with other top auditory neuroscientists around the world, providing him with valuable connections and prompting further insights into his own work.
