MHLP professor presents on virtual reality psychotherapy in Ireland

Aaron Norton presents in Ireland

Norton presents his research at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

Mental Health Law and Policy (MHLP) Professor Aaron Norton, PhD, LMHC, LMFT presented on virtual reality (VR)-assisted psychotherapy at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland last week at the 7th Annual Counselling and Psychotherapy Conference. The conference is a collaboration of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, University of the Holy Cross, and DePaul University. His training focused on meta analysis research and clinical case examples of four categories of VR implementation in psychotherapy, including somatic quieting and relaxation techniques, exposure therapy, behavioral activation, and social skills training.
