Social work professor receives distinguished alumni award

Alison Salloum

Salloum's primary research interest is in the treatment of childhood trauma.

School of Social Work Professor Alison Salloum, PhD, LCSW, received the 1914 Distinguished Alumni Award in Academia and Research from the Tulane School of Social Work Alumni Association Board. Salloum received her MSW ('94) and PhD ('05) from the Tulane School of Social Work.

This award recognizes TSSW alumni whose achievements exemplify the values of the school and who have made a remarkable impact on the profession. The award also honors a graduate who, throughout their career of a minimum of ten years, has demonstrated exceptional contributions to social work research and the profession and have led distinguished careers as teachers, researchers, and mentors.
