Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) interpreter training (ITT) and speech-language pathology (SLP) graduate students participated in the department's SLP-ASL Interpreting Interprofessional Practice In-Service. The ITT students prepared a presentation on collaboration and working with interpreters for the SLP students. The students worked together on a mock treatment plan and therapy session. They then did a demonstration of a treatment activity and discussed how they problem-solved the logistics and nuances of working together. Organizers hope to begin hosting this event at least twice yearly.
