The Educational Interpreter Project hosted its annual Summer Institute at the University of South Florida. Over seventy participants from across the state of Florida came to hear nine presenters during the four-day intensive.
Presenters and participants had invaluable experiences and left with new insights and practical skills to apply to their everyday jobs. Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) Associate Instructor Samantha Thomas, MA, NIC, and Hands On USF Coordinator Haley Eyster, NIC, presented and received raving workshop reviews.
CSD Academic Program Specialist Jena Rossman played a key role, reserving all the classrooms and auditoriums that housed this year’s workshops. Brooke Kendall, assistant to the coordinator of the Educational Interpreter Project, also was applauded for being a great team member and ensuring day-to-day operations went smoothly.
