Two Master of Social Work (MSW) students, Pedro Serrano-Mejia and Sydni Smith, were members of the winning team of this year’s USF Health local CLARION Case Competition. The third member of their team, Isabel Adamus, is a student in the Morsani College of Medicine MD Program.
Their presentation was titled, "Vida Connect - Addressing Health Disparities, Pandemic Preparedness, and Vaccine Hesitancy in the Dakota County, MN School System." The winning team received $2,500 in scholarship money and will represent USF Health at the national CLARION in-person competition at the University of Minnesota on April 13.
The students presented via Microsoft Teams to a group of interprofessional judges, who evaluated the presentations using the same rubric as the national competition. A recording of the winning's team presentation is available here.
