Anita Turner, EdD, visiting assistant professor of instruction in the School of Aging Studies, and Nik Lampe, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy, represented the Alzheimer’s Association – Florida Gulf Coast Chapter as community educators at the City of Brandon’s Parade of Lights on Dec. 14, 2024.
Held in the heart of downtown Brandon, this festive event celebrated both the holiday season and community-driven causes. During their time at the parade, Turner and Lampe spoke with local community members about the Alzheimer’s Association’s dedication to advancing research, raising awareness, and supporting families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
