Social work faculty give high school seniors insight on future careers

The School of Social Work recently participated in a high school outreach event, hosting 25 seniors who are in the Tampa Bay Technical High School Academy of Health Professions. During the two-day workshop, the students learned about the flexibility of the social work profession, how social workers interact with other health professions, child welfare work, ethical dilemmas, and how to recognize signs of stress/burnout and ways to cope.
