Responding to those concerns led College of Education professors AnnMarie Gunn and Susan Bennett to team up with the Police Athletic League (PAL) of St. Petersburg, which seeks to inspire hope and transform the lives of at-risk youth.

College of Education Associate Professor Ruthmae Sears, PhD, was elected as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
