Dr. Yiting Chu (he/him) is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Education in Educational Program Development at the College of Education. Dr. Chu earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Multicultural Education from the University of Washington, Seattle. 

Dr. Chu's research is grounded in the intersections of cultural diversity, social justice, and education, with particular attention to examining policies, programs, and practices advancing equitable learning opportunities, experiences, and outcomes for marginalized students and their communities. His scholarship has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Teacher Education, Urban Education, Race Ethnicity and Education, Educational Policy Analysis Archives, and Teaching Education; and in edited volumes published by Bloomsbury, Routledge, and Springer.  

Dr. Chu currently serves as the Chair of the Multicultural/ Multiethnic Education: Theory, Research, and Practice special interest group of the American Educational Research Association. He has previously served on the Global Diversity Advisory Committee of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and Institute of Education Sciences’ Technical Working Group on Best Practices and Challenges for Embedding Equity in Education Research.
