Research Overview: Polymeric and soft materials
Our research is in the area of polymers and gels, especially the physics of polymers that deform or respond to external stimuli, including electric, magnetic, and thermal cues, with the goal of developing materials that adapt and respond to their environment. Specific research areas include the following:
- Responsive hydrogel textures for cell printing
- Physics of ultra thin film coatings (< 100 nm)
- Natural materials for thin film coatings
