About the Institute

Michael Andrews

Michael currently serves as the Associate Director of Contracts & Compliance for the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF APPLIED ENGINEERING, INCORPORATED.

He is a native of Huntsville, Alabama and attended Middle Tennessee State University and University of Alabama in Huntsville and graduated with BSBA in Procurement and Contract Management. He continued his education at the Florida Institute of Technology receiving a Masters in Acquisition and Contract Management. He has been an active member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) since 2007, serving as President and Vice President of the local Tampa NCMA Chapter while maintaining his Certified Federal Contracting Manager certification.

Prior to USF-IAE, Michael’s career has included over thirty years in Contract & Program Management positions. He has experience in both Commercial and Government contracting, including Industry and Military Prime and Subcontracts. He has served in various roles including Contracts, Operations, Program Management, Finance, Material Planning and Logistics with various large and small companies.

Michael feels that his negotiation style of empathetic leadership results in establishing solid relationships, with both internal or external customers, building trust and confidence in communications and decision making.
