Samantha Tromly is the Director of Programs at the USF Institute of Applied Engineering, a pivotal institution driving innovation in defense solutions. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, earned with distinction from Florida State University, Samantha’s academic prowess forms a solid foundation for her dynamic career trajectory.
Having commenced her journey with USF IAE in March 2020 as a Research Project Manager, Samantha quickly distinguished herself, earning promotion to Director of Programs by March 2022. Her rapid ascent underscores not only her exceptional skills in project management but also her innate ability to lead and inspire others.
Before joining the USF IAE family, Samantha served as SOFWERX Technology Transfer & STEM Program Administrator, where she spearheaded initiatives aimed at advancing STEM education and technology transfer. This experience equipped her with invaluable insights into the intersection of technology and education, further enriching her multifaceted approach to her current role.
With Samantha at the helm, USF IAE continues to forge partnerships, foster innovation, and drive positive change within the defense industry. Her blend of academic excellence, professional acumen, and unwavering dedication makes her a driving force behind the institute’s mission to shape the future of defense innovation.
