About the Institute

Scott Dalziel

Scott Dalziel is the Chief Financial Officer for the Institute of Applied Engineering. As an executive for the IAE, Scott provides strategic planning and overall management of all finance activities for the IAE.

Mr. Dalziel joined the IAE in 2020 leading the startup of the Academic Consortium developing strategic relationships with 28 universities across the United States. Prior to joining the IAE, Scott was the Director of Asset Management for Investres, a real estate private equity firm. Scott also possesses more than 20 years in Defense Acquisition experience as both a contractor supporting USSOCOM and active-duty Navy within VX-1, the aircraft test component of COMOPTEVFOR.

Scott is a U.S. Navy veteran, having served 10 years on active duty as a Naval Aviator accumulating over 1600 hours in the H-60 “Seahawk” helicopter deploying onboard the USS Harry S Truman and the USS George Washington.

Scott is a graduate of the US Naval Academy with a BS in Engineering and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He and his wife Marlene have 2 wonderful kids.
