Education Abroad Opportunities
There are many opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to integrate an international education, study abroad or research experience with their undergraduate education. Several of our experiences are linked to sustainability issues that impact the developing world.
Education Abroad
Education Abroad offers a variety of study abroad opportunities for students and faculty in over 25 countries, these include: semester exchanges, dual degree programs, summer and short term programs, international internships, and service learning. Programs range from one week to one year and award academic credit.

UNESCO-IHE Laboratory Delf, Netherlands
International Research Experience on Sustainability program is open to undergraduate and graduate students. The 8-week summer program allows students to research and develop innovation technologies in water and waste water to meet the Millennium Development Goals. It builds on USF’s continuing relationship with the world’s leading water authorities at UNESCO-IHE Water Laboratory in Delft, Netherlands.
Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) (domestic and international locations) The National Science Foundation supports active research participation by undergraduate engineering and science students during the summer. REU’s provide travel, lodging, and some stipend and projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs . REUs occur during the summer and can be located in the U.S. or an international location.
