The Faculty Senate is comprised of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee (FSEC) and the Faculty Senate (FS).
The Faculty Senate Executive Committee meets monthly throughout the calendar year to conduct business and the Faculty Senate meets monthly during the academic year, September through April. Both groups hold meetings on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may hold additional meetings as needed.

Absences
A Faculty Senator who must be absent from a meeting of the Faculty Senate must, except
under extraordinary circumstances, send an alternate as a replacement and notify the
Sergeant-at-Arms of such replacement. The alternate must be a member of the general
faculty and not a current member of the Faculty Senate. The Sergeant-at-Arms shall
record the Faculty Senator as present and confer voting rights to the alternate for
the duration of the meeting. If the Faculty Senator is an officer of the Faculty Senate,
the alternate may not assume any of the duties of the office but can assume the full
voting rights of a Faculty Senator. The resulting transfer of voting rights shall
be valid for one meeting of the Faculty Senate. No Faculty Senator may send an alternate
more than twice per semester or more than three times per academic year.
Senators, need to send an alternate to the Faculty Senate meeting? Send an email to the Faculty Senate Office; the Sergeant-at-Arms will be notified and relay relevant meeting information to the alternate.
