Adult Learning and Development Graduate Certificate

The Adult Learning and Development (ALD) Graduate Certificate is designed to provide adult educators with a platform for enhancing understandings on adult learning and development of practices for planning, teaching, and implementing programs for a diverse population of adult learners in a variety of formal and informal education settings such as technical/vocational centers and colleges, proprietary schools, professional development in universities; literacy, ABE and GED programs; and corporate and community training programs. 

The Certificate represents an opportunity for adult educators to engage in continuing education for professional advancement. Courses are offered in hybrid format for flexible participation.

Graduate Certificate Admissions and Process


Students must apply and be admitted into the Graduate Certificate to be eligible to receive a Graduate Certificate. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Graduate Certificate Director prior to applying. 

Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

  1. University Admission Requirements, including English Proficiency    
  2. Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements    

Curriculum Requirements (12 Credit Hours)


Graduate Certificate Time Limit


Five (5) Years.
