Digital Humanities Graduate Certificate

This Certificate will no longer be available after Fall 2023.

The Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities, designed in collaboration between the English department and the History department, offers students enrolled in graduate school an opportunity to complete a series of courses at the intersection of technology and humanities research. It offers training in technologies and platforms associated with digitization, electronic editions, cultural heritage, archives, text mining, data analysis and visualization, the use of mapping and GIS in humanities research, and the study of digital media and technology from a humanities perspective.

Graduate Certificate Admissions and Process


Students must apply and be admitted into the Graduate Certificate to be eligible to receive a Graduate Certificate. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Graduate Certificate Director prior to applying.
