Foreign Language Education: Culture and Content Graduate Certificate

The Foreign Language Education: Culture and Content Graduate Certificate provides students with an understanding of Foreign Language Education curriculum, methods of instruction, and the 6-12 classroom environments. This Certificate is designed for students who hold a bachelor’s degree in a foreign language, or who are native speakers of a language other than English and wish to begin their preparation for the teaching profession. 

Applicants should have 30 credit hours of undergraduate or graduate coursework in the teaching fields of foreign language or have native-like proficiency of the foreign language acceptable to the faculty.

This Certificate leads to the State of Florida teaching endorsement for Foreign Languages.

Graduate Certificate Admissions and Process


Students must apply and be admitted into the Graduate Certificate to be eligible to receive a Graduate Certificate. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Graduate Certificate Director prior to applying. 

Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

  1. University Admission Requirements, including English Proficiency    
  2. Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements
