Leadership for Coastal Resiliency Planning Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Leadership for Coastal Resiliency Planning prepares students who will be working in the areas of planning, development and policy, largely in the public and non-profit sector, in the areas on or near the coast.

Trains planners, policy makers and public/non-profit managers to address the growing challenges facing coastal communities  Course content covers land use and economic development planning, environmental policies, disaster preparation and recovery.

Graduate Certificate Admissions and Process


Students must apply and be admitted into the Graduate Certificate to be eligible to receive a Graduate Certificate. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Graduate Certificate Director prior to applying. 

Applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

  1. University Admission Requirements, including English Proficiency    
  2. Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements    

Additional Admission Requirements


In addition, submit the following with the application:

  • Letter of Intent/Purpose
  • Resume or CV

Curriculum Requirements (15 Credit Hours)


Graduate Certificate Time Limit


Five (5) Years.
