ETD Process Requirements

MFA (Creative Writing) Student Information

All MFA students must complete the ETD process as well, though creative writing theses are handled differently than research articles and manuscripts.

CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL PACKET PROCESS

Follow this link to find the MFA-Specific Certificate Approval Form. All fields must be typed, not handwritten, and all of the necessary signatures must be obtained from all committee members/department heads in order for the form to be accepted.

In addition to the Certificate of Approval Form, all students must complete the Plagiarism Check through TurnItIn. 

Once the Certificate of Approval Packet is completed, you will submit your paperwork to the Microsoft Form.

MFA Creative writing - thesis submission

All Creative Writing Thesis Submissions must be formatted according to the ETD Formatting Requirements. 

As an MFA Creative Writing major submitting a creative writing thesis, you will not submit your Thesis PDF to ProQuest.

Instead, you will email the PDF to the ETD Help Desk. We will work with you on formatting through email. Once your formatting lines up with the ETD formatting requirments, you will receive an acceptance email from the ETD Help Desk!
